A Women’s Quiet Day

Your St. Theodore’s Daughters of the King is sponsoring a Women’s Quiet Day on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 9:30a.m. to 2:30p.m. The day will start at 9:00 a.m. with sign in and a light breakfast. A love offering at sign in will be appreciated. The Quiet day will be held in Sengel Hall. The day will finished with Holy Eucharist in church.
Presented by the Reverend Lora Walsh from Grace Episcopal Church in Siloam Springs, the day will look at the four stages of Loving God as found in the book On Loving God by 12th century abbot Bernard of Clairvaux. At what stage of loving God are you? How can you move to the next stage to love God more fully?
The Reverend Lora Walsh holds a PhD in Medieval Christianity and teaches courses on medieval history, early Christianity, and Women and Christianity at the University of Arkansas. Lora served for two years as a Jesuit Volunteer in Kathmandu, Nepal. Lora and her husband Josh are the parents of Zadok and Aletta, who keep her more silly than serious whether she likes it or not.
9:00 am – Sign in and a light breakfast in Sengel Hall, St. Theodore’s
9:30am – 11:30am - Morning session ”On Loving God: Growing Spiritually” with a mid-morning break
11:30am – 12:30pm – Lunch will be a choice of 2 soups, a salad with roll, and dessert with beverage
12:30pm – 1:30pm – Afternoon session “On Loving God: Growing Spiritually”
1:45pm – 2:30pm – Holy Eucharist in St. Theodore’s church
