Mittens and Toys

Please consider assisting in one of the following worthy outreach programs:

Toys for the Children's Shelter

As we have in previous years, we are gathering toys and gifts for children in the the shelter. More than 7700 children have stayed in the Shelter since 1993, and 500 were in the year 2014 alone. There are girls from birth to age 17 and boys from birth to age 12, unless they are part of a sibling group, then to age 17.  Items will be accepted throughout the first three Sundays of Advent.  We will take everything to the shelter on the morning of the 23rd of December.  Thank you all for your assistance.  Diane Landmesser

Mitten Tree

Please help the Daughters of the King fill up the Mitten Tree. A tree will be located by the front door in the narthex during the month of December.  Please bring mittens, hats, gloves, scarves, and socks to "decorate" the tree.  All sizes are accepted. Many times adults do without so their children can keep warm. On Monday, December 21st, all items will be distributed to the 16 shelters in Northwest Arkansas. We thank you for your genorosity.  Colleen Whitney
