Soup Supper & Lenten Study
Every Wednesday, from 03/04/2020 to 04/08/2020, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
We will be meeting every Wednesday in Lent for our Soup Supper and Lenten Study.
Supper will begin at 5:30 followed by Lenten study based on the book “Living Well through Lent – Practicing Courage with All Our Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind”. If you need a book they are available on the table in the Narthex on Sundays. Books will also be handed out at our first meeting on March 4th.
This study is designed for daily reflection through Lent and then coming together to study and reflect.
There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board to bring soup, sandwiches or salad -- light supper fare.
We will also have a class and activities for children and youth offered after supper. Any young people interested in participating may share the meal with the adults and then go to Pengelly Hall for instructor-led activities.
Stations of the cross will take place at 4:45 PM. Join us for this enriching and meaningful Lenten season preparation.
Lent is a time for introspection and self-reflection, a time to reflect on the core of what it means to live a Christian life. When facing the changes and uncertainties of this life, courage becomes vital – courage to be vulnerable, courage to grow, courage to change direction, courage to let go, courage to
act with grace and courage to walk the way of love. We will walk together through Lent and pray for each other as we seek our courage. We will do this together as our beloved community here at St. Theodore’s.
