Soup Supper Lenten Study
Every Wednesday, from 02/21/2018 to 03/21/2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Beginning Wednesday, February 21st, we will gather to worship, learn, and have fellowship. We will begin at 6 PM with a simple soup supper. While we are sharing our meal, Fr. Will will lead us in our study of Luke, and we will close with Compline.
Our study will follow the Good Book Club study format from Forward Movement (the publishers of Forward Day by Day) on Luke specifically designed for Lent. All you need to do is read a section before you show up and be ready to listen and share when you feel called to. (The schedule for our study is below.)
You may sign up to bring soup or salad. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board off the Narthex.
Our worship will be from the office of An Order for Compline from the Book of Common Prayer. Compline is descended from the night prayers of the Liturgy of the Hours and is said before bed at the end of the day. It is a short and simple liturgy with beautiful language and is a perfect way to end our evenings together.
We hope you will join us each Wednesday evening in Lent.
